Intreo Covid Grant For SMEs

€1,000 Sole Trader / Self-Employed Enterprise Support Grant COVID-19 support for Micro-Enterprises

  • The Grant applies to those self-employed individuals that do not pay commercial rates and hence did not qualify for the initial Restart Grant Plus Scheme
  • The Grant is a once-off support for self-employed individuals who have been severely impacted and have had to cease operations as a result of the pandemic and have since reopened
  • The self-employed individual must have had operated the business prior to March 2020
  • The Grant is maxed at €1,000 and the self-employed individual must employ less than 10 people and turnover must be less than €1 million
  • The Grant will be paid based on re-opening costs incurred by a self-employed individual in reopening their business. Costs include wages (where Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme not claimed), fuel and vehicle running costs, public liability and indemnity insurance costs, advertising and marketing costs, purchasing personal protective equipment (PPE), signage, repairs, safety measure costs, business advice or mentoring reopening costs. Normal business costs are not generally included
  • The Grant applies to self-employed individuals such as plumbers, electricians, carpenters, taxi drivers, beauticians, gardeners
  • The Grant applies to self-employed individuals who were in receipt of the Covid-19 pandemic unemployment or Jobseekers Benefit or Jobseekers Allowance welfare payment and closed their claim on or after May 18th
  • Self-Employed individual must be tax compliant
